CM 378 - Queer Media Studies

This course considers the politics of representation of LGBTQ+ individuals in film, television, advertising, and other media. Topics include the development of media stereotypes of the LGBTQ+ community and the various applications of “queer” as an identity, theory, and critical lens. Students registering for this course must also register for Queer Media Studies Lab.

Four credits.
