FAH 300 - Art History Theory and Methods An exploration of methods used by art historians and curators to analyze and interpret works of art. Students will be introduced to theoretical approaches to art history research and criticism and the historiography of the discipline. Workshops, exercises, and guest lectures provide hands-on learning experiences in library and archive research methods, museology, and the technical analysis of art objects. Assignments are designed to expose art history majors to a variety of career paths in the field and to help them prepare to undertake independent advanced research for the Senior Thesis.
