MU 210 - Music Theory II A comprehensive study of diatonic harmony, with an emphasis on four-part writing. Musical examples from a range of historical periods will be used to demonstrate different analytical tools. Special emphasis will be placed on ear training, sight singing, and keyboard skills. The course will conclude with the basic elements of chromatic harmony.
Note: Meets Quantitative Reasoning Learning Outcome (QUAN)
Four credits.
Prerequisite(s): MU 110 or MU 170 or permission of the instructor (placement test)
