This minor is designed as an introduction to quantum science ranging from fundamental physics to novel information processing paradigms and experimental techniques. Students will gain labo- ratory experience working with research-grade quantum optics equipment, learn to program IBM’s quantum computer, and develop a foundational understanding of quantum theory. This minor will prepare students for careers and/or graduate school in quantum technologies and research.
