PY 103 - Introduction to Design Thinking This introductory course will provide students with an opportunity to learn and apply the design thinking process to solve real world problems using case studies and first-hand experiences. In this process, students will simultaneously develop an understanding of cognitive principles that underlie innovative thinking and problem-solving. Student teams will define a design challenge, conduct field research, and craft insights from observations and interviews. They will brainstorm potential solutions, create prototypes, and test users to improve their solutions. An introduction to storytelling will enable teams to create a pitch to deliver their solutions.
