CH 362 - Bioinorganic Chemistry


This course is designed to introduce the field of bioinorganic chemistry and provide information regarding topics related to metals in health and disease.  Students will learn how biologically important transition metals interact with macromolecules, how metals influence biological systems, and how metals are being used as therapeutics and imaging agents. Students will read and discuss literature related to the field of bioinorganic chemistry

Two credits.

Prerequisite(s): CH 340 or permission of instructor
