A study of great works from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, including selections from among the following: Marx, Tolstoy, Nietzsche, Pope Leo XIII, Freud, Chesterton, Joyce, Eliot, Wharton, Heidegger, Wittgenstein, Camus, Marcel, and Pope John Paul II.
