Natural Science- Secondary Education in the life sciences Dual Major

Teaching secondary level life science requires competency across the natural sciences, advanced work in biology, and core work in educational theory. Students double major in Natural Science and Secondary Education. Note that this is a track within the Natural Science major, rather than a separate major.

Science Electives (6 required):
Students must show competency in multiple topics within biology in order to qualify for certification (matrix available from your advisor). The goal of these courses is to give the student a deeper experience than Introductory Biology, given that they may later have to teach AP Biology.
