BI 333 - Cell Biology


A study of the anatomy and physiology of the fundamental unit of life. The , with a focus on eukaryotic cell structure and function. In the laboratory will, students use microscopy, subcellular fractionation, and other cellular/molecular techniques to investigate the structure and vital processes of prokaryotes and eukaryotescells, with particular attention to membranes, organelles, and macromolecules.

Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory each week for one semester. Four credits.

Prerequisite(s): BI 103  - BI 104  or equivalent as determined by Department Chair.
