PO 208 - Elements of Political Theory: Classical An examination of the nature, functions, and goals of political society in the classical period, with special attention to the concepts of justice and power, the individual and the community, and the common good. Readings include Plato’s Republic, selections from Aristotle’s Politics, and works chosen from Xenophon and Cicero, among others. PO208 or PO 209 is required of Politics majors.
