HI 353 - Emergence of Modern America: 1877-1929 Explores America’s dynamic growth from an agrarian nation into an urban, industrial world power beginning in the late nineteenth century. The course focuses on the new problems created by this rapid growth, and the political, cultural, and social movements that were intended to address those problems.
