PO 254 - Media and Politics This course examines the role of mass media in shaping American politics and government. The course pays particular attention to how the norms of reporting, the incentives and pressures on news corporations, and the rise of new media technology affect the way the media covers and shapes American government and politics and influences public opinion, elections, governance, and public policy.
