FR 200 - French Semester III This course offers a contextualized review of the fundamental structures of the French language helping students become more sophisticated language users in all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It is designed to move students beyond what is often referred to as the “survival skills” acquired in first-year French. Over the course of the semester, students will also learn about, reflect on, and discuss many topics pertinent to French and Francophone culture. They will understand how these topics are perceived in the Francophone world and make comparisons with their own culture. The course requires three contact hours with the professor and one contact hour of conversation with a Native Speaker each week.
Four credits.
Prerequisite(s): FR 150 or placement.
